"The Stand-In"
When Brooks Rattigan, 17, from working class Pritchard, New Jersey, volunteers to be a stand-in for a wealthy classmate’s cousin who’s been stood up for her Homecoming Dance, little does he realize it will soon turn into a thriving business. Over the course of his senior year, to earn money for college, he hires himself out as an escort to the daughters of the one percent to formal, can’t-be-missed high school social functions. Entering a world of privilege and perks beyond his comprehension, Brooks finds romance, heartache and, ultimately, himself.
